I really liked working Wednesdays and Sundays, those were days where there weren’t many other drivers, so you could take more deliveries. You’ll be busy during football season on Sundays, too.

Late Reply. But Good job fella.

I always appreciate Pizza Delivery People. My 18 yr old nephew is doing it at the moment to pay for a car. He borrows his dads for work.
Its good old honest work. I always tip at least a fiver when i use them.

Hope you make plenty of tips mate.

People who don’t tip or who are cheap tippers drive me crazy! I guess it’s because I’ve had a lot of jobs relying on tips. When I go out on a date with someone I don’t mean to do this, but I can’t help but glance to see what kind of tip they left. To me it’s very telling of the kind of man he is and I know that’s wrong, I just can’t help it. If he’s a bad tipper, unless the waiter was god awful I will say I have to go to the bathroom and secretly give the waiter more money and apologize to them. More then likely I wouldn’t go out with them again unless i really liked them and I felt comfortable enough to talk to him about it. Sometimes they don’t know, which I find weird in today’s society and sometimes they are just cheap.
One time a guy asked me out on a date and the whole night he bragged about himself. I just tried to ignore it because I knew it was a one and done date for me. He had already taken up two parking places for his car because he didn’t want anyone to hit it and he wanted the attention of his car. The restaurant didn’t have many parking spaces and most people have to park on the metered street. It was a very upscale restaurant. Michelin rated and our bill was over $400 and I saw that he left a $5 tip. I had had enough of him by that point and liquid courage from the wine and martinis that I snapped. I said things to him that I shouldn’t have but he was just so awful and after all the bragging he did about himself I just let loose. He said he didn’t tip on alcohol and didn’t feel like he should have to tip if he didn’t want to. Even without the alcohol $5 wouldn’t have been close. I gave the waiter the $80 and left. I did thank him for dinner as I’m not ungrateful but never talked to him again. It’s not like he didn’t have the money and had to save up for the date because he let me know several times he had money.

@Jonnybegood I’m glad your job is going so well

Cool. Hope it goes well for you. I just started this Tuesday at papa john’s. So far it’s alright. The thing I like about delivering is that I have money in my pocket every night. But being a waiter might be better since you don’t have to use your vehicle… but I like driving and I can do some of my auto repairs. So it works out for me right now.

Congratulations!!!

Am happy for ya dude

i’d love to do something like that but i cant use my car for business purposes :frowning: its a shame really.

not many tip here either, i tip sometimes but not much, we mostly conclude that they get paid anyway

i give to charity so thats where my tips go i guess

Waiters usually don’t get minimum wage because they get tips.

they get paid ok in the uk

I wait tables in my clubhouse, never had a tip lol but its voluntary haha

Yeah, I’ve noticed whenever I would wait tables that a lot of Europeans didn’t tip well. They never stuffed me (not tip at all) but rarely 18-20%. I didn’t know why that was until I waited on someone from England who was a server and they told me tipping is different there and they got paid more an hour or tipping was automatically included in the bill. Things are different now whereas they are more aware of the American tipping policy. Well, I say that but it could be that before I was a server (waiter) at like an Applebee’s or an Outback Steakhouse, but when I moved up to fine dining I never got less then 18% and that was rare. 20% was pretty much average. One time I waited on a group of men that came from the casino and they tipped me $1000 casino chip on a $200 bill. I was in shock. Another time some men came from the casino in a limousine and and they each gave me $100, there were 7 of them. I was a very good server. I always knew my stuff as food has always been very important to me and I was very personable.
