Wiener means sausage in English I guess, and also has a dirty meaning in slang, but in German it means “citizen of Vienna” or “from Vienna”, if I’m not mistaken.
Yep, it is from Vienna. ‘Delicious Fazer Wiener nougat has been an integral part of our confectionary offering ever since Karl Fazer brought the recipe back from Vienna in 1904’. So this chocolate is originally from Vienna, Austria.
