I try fishing, I think it rewarding waiting at the water for fish.
Hope you enjoy it
Have you gone fishing before?
No I don’t know much about fishing, I will go to the shop and get a beginners package. I seen it plenty of times.
Nice
Hope you end up liking it then
I don’t know, I think it will be a bit creepy, to kill a caught fish. I am not good with these sort of things, I gutted animals, but these days, I don’t know. I think I will just take the fish out and let nature do the job.
Hmm… yeah, fishing is pretty brutal…
If you’re putting them back you gotta hope they didn’t swallow the hook… also pretty rough taking the hook out of their mouth in general
I don’t even know what fish are here, I know we got some venomous fish here like blowfish. Well, I will find out.
Better do some researching
If you want of coarse, not telling you what to do lol
Yes I will ask someone if they are eatable, seems it’s similar to collecting mushrooms
I’d recommend starting out with a cheap rod like 50-75$ rod and reel combo also you can get a package of lures more specifically casting/trolling spoons or spinner baits what type of fish are you trying to catch because using a braid and fluorocarbon together a lot of pros use suffix line and I like to use a seagaur fluorocarbon leader if your ice fishing it’s gonna be a little more expensive because ice augers are a bit pricey and hook and a worm is very useful if you don’t want spoons deboned pike are delicious look up how to debone it I prefer it over walleye just some suggestions
I love fishing but haven’t been in a long time. I spent a year out of high school doing a lot of it. My friend and I would go creek fishing a couple times a week and catch around 30 smallmouth each time. If you have places to go I think that would be a great hobby. My problem is I’d have to drive a bit to get anywhere good.
Idk if you know this and even if you do others who don’t know might like it smallmouth bass are edible DEPENDING ON THE LAKE the reason why I put it in big letters is there are parasites in some lakes it only effects bass and perch tho most fish like walleye and pike are edible however depending on the lake bass is amazing even largemouth bass
Yes, I know you can buy bait from the freezer here, I thought first of maggets, but I been told, they don’t have it here. I plan to get a rod and use a float. I hope the local fishstore give me advice on the hooksize and bait. I don’t want to spend more than 50
Yeah I’ve eaten bass. It’s good. We never ate these though. It was just for fun. Thanks for the heads up though.
Fishing is a thing!
