I just found out it won’t be filled until Thursday. I just took my last dose. I’m going to call the pharmacies near me tomorrow in hopes I can get it sooner. This sucks! I’m on 15mg per night so withdrawals are a real possibility

I’ve heard you can try going to the ER and requesting a couple doses of medication. Never had to do it myself, but if it’s true what I heard, then it could be an option should everything else fall through.

Yes, you can get some from the ER. With my insurance that would cost me $225. So I don’t see it as an option

I use monthly pill boxes because I take quite a few medications. But I also find using pill boxes helps remind me to take my medication and when I need to refill. Sometimes I also cut a couple of tablets out of the pack and stash them somewhere safe. Further, I also think it helps to have a second ap on hand prn. In case your run out you can take that in the mean time. This can be quite disorientating with change meds suddenly for a couple of days but it will definitely prevent a hospital admission. Maybe you could ask for a prn script of seroquel and just keep it somewhere safe. Maybe those ideas are not for you but they are some of the things I have found helpful to prevent me running out of medication.
Honestly does happen over the years, I forgot to pick some up before the long weekend and then the chemist is holding my script. So yeah it helps to be prepared
You should factor in the lead time with your pharmacy and pick up the meds at least that many days before hand. Zyprexa is a very common antipsychotic so if you have multiple pharmacies in driving distance it shouldn’t be to hard to find. Become a lot more difficult if you are living remote

I am getting it refilled today. The phone system was wrong when it said Thursday thankfully! Phew! I’ll be more careful in the future
