I feel like saying i am not crazy

yes i suffer with sz and some depression but no i am not crazy.

i feel there are some people out there trying to black-out my knowledge of things pertaining to me and significantly so due to my sz. maybe i am being paranoid again.

even if i do have paranoia i still feel the right to say i am not crazy!!!

how do you feel?

Crazy is one of those words that gets thrown around a lot as an insult. It’s also used as a compliment.

For example someone could say: “FlyingSwan is crazy.” Now, depending on how this word is used, it could mean that I’m daring, wild, exciting (for going bungee jumping, or sky diving), or I’m one cashew short of a whole tin of cashews, or I’m nuttier than a granola bar by Kashi for talking to people at bus stops who aren’t actually there according to those sane people who whisper, “She’s crazy!” in hearing range.

I wouldn’t mind it if the word ‘crazy’ was frowned upon like the ‘R’ word (the one previously used for those with downs syndrome). I can’t even type the R word, but I can type ‘crazy’. Now, how unfair is that? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

I prefer to just say I’m a person struggling with mild to moderate schizophrenia. This is with meds. Without meds, I would say that I suffered from moderate to severe SZ.

My voices tell me I’m a madman and it keeps me in check.

Brother says often - im a loony, but he dont mean it serious. If someone in the street said it, i would probably punch them.

I should have done that, but it’s too late. My health is too bad now and I can’t support myself.

flying swan, i agree with you. also i need to ‘say’ that i think we get bumped off for the bi-polar community quite a bit. they have way way more rights and clout than us. do you agree?

some bi-polar people become quite violent during the manic phase. so why are they priveledged over us?

it really irks me.
