As a matter of fact I had cancer 7 years ago, a mini stroke in 2017. Schizophrenia has been the longest illness I have had, 20 years now. I recovered from the other two. Please don’t say its less serious than cancer.

I was talking about pancreatic cancer not curable cancers. Pancreatic cancer max lifetime is 6 months.

Thanks. It’s good to hear positive encouragement.

My uncle suffered much more than me, he died at 36 y.o. 2 months after his diagnosis. I am not talking about curable cancer.

I had 3 close family members and friends die of cancer recently… My father was bedbound for 20 years. He was paralysed from the neck down after a stroke and heart attack , he passed 2 months ago. Only consolation for me is he is in peace now and can walk in heaven. I also heard last week, a friend of mine her cancer returned after 8 years, she had breast cancer before.

About five years ago my family doctor was out for a year with Pancreatic Cancer. When I heard from his Assistants, I said that Pancreatic Cancer is a death sentence. The Physician’s Assistant told me it was not necessarily so. I guess.

I work full time. If I just sit at home on the couch it’s much worse. I like to be doing something to take my mind off my illness and just watching tv doesn’t work.

But it took me years to get where I could work feasibly. The first six years it just wasn’t possible. I went through 7 jobs. But I did keep trying to get back up but it was really a tough lesson to learn.

I take a lot of meds now. I used to always try to be coming off meds and asked to be dosed down or to come off at every visit. Now I am happy maxed out.

Life is much better that way.

It depends if its spread to other organs. My uncle was stage 4, it had already spread to his liver and intestines. Eventually it spread to his brain and heart, he died from a heart attack during a coma.

Cancer is tough.
