It would be nice if there were more successful forums out there for ppl who have experienced psychosis. Just you know, when this one gets slow, switch to another psychosis forum.
I mean we are talking about the whole world and there are only two active ones.
Where can you see who’s active?
You know, when someone posts that equates to active. The more people post the more active it is.
Reddit interface sucks compared to here.
I know right…
I used to use computer forums with this sz forum but I kept fighting with other users on stupid stuff so I stopped posting there. They suspended me for 1 day, no ban, but I don’t feel comfortable posting there anymore.
I think this place is successful because of good moderation. Good interface as well.
Will second the good moderation.
As a side note I found the old NAMI forums difficult to navigate and I could personally never make a connection with anyone there. But I was new to sza so I probably didn’t make a very good impression being symptomatic.
Members are what make a forum. If you have good people that try to support each other, you’ll have a good forum.
Do the NAMI forums not run anymore? Wonder why these things get shut down.
Honestly I had a bad experience with NAMI and got a little too personal with a member there and it blew up in my face. I was so mad I never went back. So I don’t know if that forum is still active.
When the Mods on here say no outside communications with other members I am the prime example of why that rule is in place. Don’t want to go into details so I’ll keep it at that.
It’s because of me. I make this place look good. Rofl. Lol.
You have a valuable place on this forum just like everyone else. All the different people make it interesting.
This place relies on organic traffic for viewers. It does okay given the circumstances.
Imagine an SZ forum with a large ad budget though.
What do you mean by organic traffic
Like gradual unpromoted traffic from google.
We have a lot of long time members who come here nearly every day. Their dedication to the community is what keeps us on top. Also, not to dis other mental health forums, but the ones I’ve been to usually end up turning into people shouting into a void with no feedback from other members. We have enough people at different times that usually you’ll get at least one person who notices and has input on your issue.
No it is because of my good looks and charming personality
In my opinion it would be better to have all the users on one forum, we aren’t many.
In my experience those places are flooded with delusions and paranoia with no one to tell them they need help. Most groups make very little sense. A heavily moderated place makes all the difference in the world. As well as well people who can give advise rationally.
