I don’t understand

I have a relative living with me and she is driving me up the wall … I don’t say anything to her hence I’m venting here. I think I have misophonia ? Spelling . She sips loudly whenever she drinks .. she eats loudly ! I’m sorry I have to leave the room :expressionless_face:

I don’t know what misophonia is, but if it’s a sensory sensitivity to certain sounds then that’s quite normal for people with autism!

I understand this, cause I have the same thoughts. Especially excessive coughing – drives me up the dang wall. I notice it more than others, it seems

It’s ok to leave the room. I used to get annoyed by loud chewing. I have calmed down while getting older. You might too

My step brother used to complain at me being a noisy eater

I eat quite quickly as food is functional to me

That’s exactly what misophonia is. Sensitivity to certain sounds. In my case is people sipping and slurping tea. Gross.

My sister has always complained that I am a loud eater. No one else does. She must have misophonia.
