Ah yeah that feeling, I used to have more positive luck with that than bad luck, or at least at the time I was convinced I was having good luck.
The worst thing is finding out you are in a codependent relationship that is unequal, not the same thing as what we were talking about but I thought I would mention it.

Go out, click with people in person. Face to face stuff is way more potent than online.
Face to face relationships have a much higher success rate.
