Every where I go I would be seen as a Romanian guy, every country im visiting I would be a stranger or the best a tourist. Every foreign country I’m visiting I would be treated as a foreigner or second hand citizen.
The good part is that in Romania in always at home, I have a nationality, a beautiful nationality,I live in a country with 3000 years of history. Who have been around since the beginning of European history.
I am Romanian, it’s a good thing. I do belong, my country wants and helps me, I have a home.
American tourists are the touristiest of all tourists. Except from Japanese tourists. They’re even touriestier. And Chinese tourists are just rude. Kind of like French people in Paris.
When I lived in France I tried hard to blend in, but my accent was sticking out like a sore thumb. And people would ask me “so what are your origins?” and I would wittily reply “terrestrial”.
I hate xenophobia and chauvinism. If I live in country X, then I want to be treated like any other X-er.
