Wie gehts? I think I’m like 1/4 German something like that. My mother’s grandmother’s maiden name was Copenhaver.

I went to college with a girl who was a dual German/American citizen. She told me that Germany was so safe that you could walk alone down the street in the middle of the night and not worry about being attacked.

Cool. Is German descent quite common in US?

I’m not sure. I think it is somewhat common. There are a people here called the Pennsylvania Dutch. I think they’re German and they actually speak German even though English is the National language. I mean they speak English too but among themselves they speak German.
