I am a feminist ✌

I apologize for comparing her to a hooker. But only an insecure man would be happy in a relationship he does ALL the work. To please his trophy.

I understand what are you saying but your view is pretty idealistic.
People don’t get paid equally all the time, people don’t fall in love with the person on the same financial, intellectual etc level of ability… It is never that simple.
Its like you can be a feminist as much as you want, but can you make your boss be a feminist…
After all, you speak from the privileged point of view…me as well.
What if the poor girl has grown up in misery and poverty and really wants some nice treatment? What if…what if…
It is very anti feminist to call someone bad names because her wishes don’t fit our whatever idealistic standards.

I apologize for calling her names.

When poor men have a way out of poverty equally as poor women, progress will be made

Unfortunately most Poor men grow poor die poor

My moms brother died poor, his two sisters are fairly well off. I don’t think that’s fair either

I honestly think she’s a golddigger and that this has nothing to do with feminism.

I typically find it feminism rather confusing with all the diversity and disagreement within what goes by that name. I prefer to look at concrete values of an individual and see if I can relate to those.

I call this one the shitty poem that adds nothing to the conversation:

She’s looking for a prince charming
but wolfs and crooks are all there is
crooks can spoil a girl’s minding’s
but don’t really care a ■■■■

Some will say she’s a gold digger
but I ain’t got a penny on me
will she love me or will it whither?
let’s just let her desires be

There are a few worthy ones still
they’ll do anything for a damsel
they usually end up used and feel
"Wish I was a crook, not one who crumbles"

Let’s end this thread

@sarad I’m sorry for calling names, it was very unfeminist of me, and you’ve made a good point or 2…but I still can support feminism and think this woman is not consistent with the beliefs

@minnii thanks for being very reasonable and not jumping on me

Everyone else thanks for your feedback

I’m not gonna give up on feminism even though apparently I’m not 100% right with these broad understandings of the term

I do believe in equality, I just haven’t figured out the true meaning of it yet maybe

Thank you all.

You tried! :expressionless:

I don’t like to fight! I was once told your ability to get through arguments and make up, is a true testament to any relationship! So glad we could somewhat settle our differences and move the ■■■■ on!

I don’t like to fight over concepts and ideas too…I rather call it a discussion.
It is a civilized way to express your thoughts and listen to others.

Truth is there is no such thing as being equal with others. In physical/biological respects, its simply impossible. Do you want to be treated equally? Then that means you’re also open to being subject to scrutiny and ridicule as well.

Equal rights? Anyone who lives under a law is not equal with it either. Good people are the law.

Human beings are altogether a different spectrum of species than the rest of the animal kingdom. Would anyone want to be equal to dirt anyway? People should aim to be equal with persons of worth. That’s something worth fighting for. Persons with higher moral principles and character are worth emulating.

All these “isms” and “ists” that arise out of the human mind serve as nothing but schisms in already fractured world. (Idea originated from the blog of Libby at yhwh.com)

sorry ttp you wrong @Sarad is correct. Here’s what I read -
Well Jon love caring understanding and of course financialy OK a little is what I am looking for. you know as a lady am. going to. need one or two things for my self

I took this to mean you didn’t have to be well off just OK. a little is what I am looking for. NOT alot. and her first words were love caring understanding not money.

cmon I mean really.

As for money, I was the one making more than my dh when we met. then I got sick and he made it all. so money isn’t important, but someone has to make it.

Oh well I’m over her…this girl I’m going to school with made my night with her email
Idc anymore
