… and the head pdoc thinks it is bipolar. Would you guys mind if I hang out here still? I’ve learnt so much from you all.

I think i am bipolar too…!! my difficulties are i almost have all the negative symptoms …!!
I have anhedonia lack of motivation social withdraw emotional flattering …!! its like 100%

U are always Welcomed here my Australian Friend …!!! This forum is specially for all the people with mental illness …!!! I have seen people over here who are Bipolar major depressive mood disorder Personality disorder GAD OCD…!!!

Thanks for your reply far cry, it’s always nice to hear from you. I was thinking about you today because I know you’re also waiting for a diagnosis. I had positive symptoms - delusions, auditory, visual and tactile hallucinations and things like that. I’m surprised by her diagnosis which she made just from reading my case notes (she hasn’t even met me) so we’ll just see what the next pdoc says. I don’t have many negative symptoms.

How are you today far cry? Are things going well?

Sz is way cruel then BI polar…!!! Can u work part time or full time …!!!
They say bipolar is highly treatable …!!! Glad u got ur Diagnosis …!!!

I am studying at the moment and I am a mum so working full-time is not realistic for me. I hope to work part-time again this year but I will have to see how that goes.

So far the risperidone is doing a good job on my delusions and hallucinations, so fingers crossed it does get easier.

My appointment iz within this week …!!! Now i am MIxed of Sz and Bipolar …!!Still waiting for correct diagnosis
Now i can volunteer with other love and support …!!!

@LucyK, I’m glad you’re closing in on a diagnosis. Of course you’re still welcome here. Bipolar and sza are closely related diagnoses, and many of our members float between them. There’s definitely a spot for you here :two_hearts:

Of course! You are very welcome to stick around. Besides a DX is just a word and I’ve learned that one pdocs bipolar is another’s sz. :slight_smile:

There’s several bipolar people on here. Bipolar people can have psychotic symptoms too. I’m sure it’s fine :slight_smile:

I’m on here even though my diagnosis turned out to be major depression w psychotic features instead of sz
