I find this stuff fascinating

However there is such a lack of thought in modern life

Given the state of media and general distribution of perceived facts, people are bombarded and left with no time to cover the pure saturation of information we are all exposed to

So much and too much trust is put into these people

They do not have our interests in mind

Fact is that the modern world relies on this saturation

Some think they’re worldly wise and very on top of current affairs but in truth their brain is full of garbage, talking points and sound bites

I am not immune either. My control of it is simply not allow myself to become another compliant drone. Trying anyway.

From studying I learned that things are so multifaceted it takes a few weeks of being locked in a library just to work out the arguments and evidence to make these conclusions of just one question

Reiterate the average person does not have the time to do this for all the issues

It’s by design

Think about my nieces and nephews who are at the age where they’re making opinions on however many seconds long a tik tok video is

Twitter is the same

The group think on social media does not make people clever

Facebook comments are probably the most extreme version of this

Literary aphorisms are the twitter of philosophy. Good things.
