Remember, building a strong sense of self and self-esteem is a gradual process. Be patient with yourself and celebrate small victories along the way. It requires self-reflection, self-compassion, and a willingness to embrace your true self. By consistently practicing these strategies and nurturing your sense of self, you can cultivate a stronger self-esteem and a deeper sense of self-worth.
I enjoyed this. I think all I would add is that you need to accomplish things to have self-esteem. I think what you accomplish is up to each individual, but it is important to be able to point to something and say, well if I did X then I can do Y as well.
Yes, it rang true to me as well.
Having recently finished reading Atomic Habits, I am kinda pumped and I’m working on several fronts to improve my quality of life:
- keeping a journal
- light exercise in the morning
- reading a few pages every day
- brushing my teeth before going to sleep
All of the above were needed and wanted, but I just couldn’t bring myself to start. Atomic Habits is the book that tipped me over the edge
I self affirm compliment to myself in the mirror…talk to yourself about your problems in the mirror…helps me.
yes i need to build this.
feel absolutely stuck.
