I finished high school age 16. Went to uni. Finished my candidate age 18. Masters age 21. Now it’s bachelor/ master structure but I studied pre-Bologna ( the introduction of the bachelor/master structure in Europe). But it’s equivalent.

@TheFountainPen So basically you are some inclined intelligent 16 year old that advanced to university but had schizophrenia? That doesn’t make sense to me because a majority of schizophrenics are not academics. I guess you’d be considered an outlier statistically? Is that fair to say?

I was intelligent when I was young. When I was 8 years old. I had an IQ test done and I matched the IQ of a 14 year old. Unfortunately I had psychosis age 24 (am now 33) and I would rate me now as a good average intelligence (lost some IQ points).

Sorry to hear about that but we all here on this forum have gone through some sort of similar psychosis too.

I don’t know, I just felt like gambling and got out of control. I usually steer clear because I know how I get but I thought I could control myself. Oh well, live and learn.

I don’t waste money nowadays.

When I went to nightclubs I wasted money and when I smoked cigarettes I wasted money on cigarettes.

I was in debt once in Sweden because I wanted to buy Christmas presents for my cousin and her daughters.
It took one or a couple years or so to pay it back.

A friend I had lent me money but then she got rich so she told me I don’t owe her anything.
Would be nice if I did something nice for her too so works both ways.we nolonger have contact.she is American.
Was nice of her.was a lot of money.i May of let her stay at my place but I was a bad friend and a mess.

I wasted $40 on a t shirt that can’t be exchanged and is wrong size but apart from that I’m happy with my spending.:two_hearts:love shopping and try to shop second hand.

LS! I must have spent 50K on dietary supplements over the last twenty years. My dietician claims it does not work.

The first car I had after going carless for five years in the board & care cost me $2600.

Having a car again finally was an indescribably great feeling. But it wasn’t my favorite car, in fact out of the 11 or so cars I’ve had since I was 17 I would rate it in the bottom two of how much I liked my cars.

But hell, I had to catch the bus everywhere for six years before I got it, so it was still a blessing.

But the car leaked through the windshield ( we think) and every time it rained, all through winters, a three inch deep puddle of water would form on the floor on my carpet.

My ex-brother-in-law who worked as a mechanic for 13 years did everything he could do to try and find exactly where it was leaking and then seal it but he would think he fixed it and it would rain and puddles would form again every time. Not only that but while he was working on it doing something else and he declared that the car had been in a wreck before I bought it and had major structural damage the previous owners had neglected to tell me about. And the car was slow.

I was thankful when the car got totaled in a wreck after a couple of years and I ended up getting a Honda Accord after it. So it was good to have wheels again but boy did that car cause me a lot of grief and hassle. I wouldn’t call it a total waste because I got a couple of years use out of it.

when me and my wife at the time married we were delusional and in charge of about $100,000…by the time we were done blowing the money we ran up a $500,000 bankruptcy. shew what a crying shame…eventually it broke us up because her family thought it was all my fault…my ex wife was just as guilty as me…we were delusional after all when we spent the money…sad sad story huh?

My friend @anon94176359 has used that George Best quote…I think it’s something like… “I spent a lot of money on booze, birds and fast cars. The rest I just squandered.”…

I waste it on things that keep me interested and living. You have to have some fun.

I like spending money on my gaming PC upgrades. I try to play on it as much as I can sometimes with friends online while in video chat with them on Google Duo.

I went through Technical College and earned myself a degree. But I had psychosis a year after and could not keep jobs from them on. That would constitute a waste of money. But thereafter I tried to get trained in various skills without much success and that let to a fair bit of loss of money.

Now at the present, I dont have much money at all. Its basically a hand to mouth existence. So I do not get to spend much.
