Yeah, Vraylar was not a good drug for me.
But I would exhaust all options before jumping to Clozaril.
I am pretty sure that psychiatrists will agree

Hi fokls. I have been on clozapine for 7 years now. Itâs not that dangerous at all. You just have to go on blood works for first months and years. I function so well on clozapine that people even donât now Iâm schizophrenic and take antipsychotics. I have tried other antipsychotics such as ziprasidone, risperidone, olanzapine, quetiapine, sertindole but clozapine makes me the most ânormalâ. So, you can try clozapine and itâs not that bad at all.
If you wanted to stop the others because of side effects know that clozapine is not going to be any betterâŚitâs probably going to be worse. It has some of the most side effects which is why docs prescribe it last. But yeah it sounds like youâve tried enough to go on it if you wanted.
Hi there. Clozapine(Klozapol,Leponex,Clozaril,Fazaclo,Froidir) is so called last âhope medicationâ - because doctors give this medication when others failed - because gives many side effects -
2 most common - salivation , hand shakeness.
Also once a month you have to get a blood test (standard routine)
But its very good medication iâm taking it for about 6 years. my doctor gave me smaller doses trough the years and side effects are now minimal It is very effective. Hope i helped.
(Sorry for my bad english)
Cheers
Yeah my Doctor was obsessed with Clozaril. he first put me on 300 mg and it was terrible!!!
Then when I was going through the court system he stuck me with clozaril and had me take 25 mg. he was so adamant on me taking clozaril for some reason, he was obsessed with the drug.
If only I found abilify sooner I wouldâve been much better off. Clozaril caused me to sleep 20 hours a day and eat the other 4 hours a day. If youâre concerned about weight gainâŚoh boy with clozaril.
But donât be scared Each person reacts differently from other person. I react to clozapine very well. But the worst sleepienes i had was from Depakine Chrono and zeldox.
The only one I quit for side effects was Haldol, it gave me really bad Akathisia.
