The only people who have been banned for life were 4 people. One made death threats, 2 confessed to preying on minors, and 1 admitted he was just a troll trying to trigger psychotic breaks in our members by convincing them to go off meds intentionally.

That’s why we banned them for life. This can be a safe space for minors OR it can be a safe space for people who are attracted to minors, but it can’t be both.

I’d agree with that. I’m not forgiving to pedophiles.
The only ones I would feel for are those who actively seek help and want to stop having those feelings, AND do not act on them.

I got banned for 1 day because of posting while drunk. It actually made me feel pretty rotten getting banned but I do get argumentative when drinking sometimes. So I learned my lesson.

We really don’t like banning. Tbh, with me, you have to really have annoyed me and made me think you’re bothering the crap out of members. I try to warn before taking that step. I also lately have made my bans short, like 24 hours.
Of course, if you’ve been recently banned and come back just to get banned again, your ban time goes up. We base it off your previous time.
That’s in hopes that you (general you) learns and decides that you don’t want to go through longer bans.

I don’t think he got banned for life, but someone posted gruesome pictures of injured cats in the kitty thread. Who knows why???
But he never came back after that.

I’ve been banned many times, some fairly (like when posting under the influence), others not so fairly. Online interactions lead quite naturally to misundertandings.

I think the whole situation is sad.
He was very dependent on this forum and then had to be banned.
I still miss Arturo.

That’s too bad. I remember he made these cool videos about nutrition.
I think the nice thing about forum drama is you can always shut it down and walk away and come back later.
