How long have you been on Antipsychotics now?

I’ve been on the same dose of invega for 8 years. I have noticed my side effects have gradually gotten worse. I get EPS. I’m gonna try and ask my doctor If I can lower it, to get rid of the EPS.

7 years for me. I have tried many different antipsychotics but none of them worked so now i’ve been on clozapine for about 3 years.
My side effects haven’t gotten better or worse.
I would be worried about TD but any time i was on an antipsychotic/med that made me have tremors and such i would switch meds so keep tabs on how your meds affect how your body feels.

I think since 1993. No TD. I’m using a very low dose now, mostly free of side-effects.

Since 2008. Before then if was off again on again.

Just a quick question

How about amino acids? Like DMG or sarcosine?

I’ve been on AP’s over thirty years. I’m starting to see things out of the corner of my eyes. I’ll see a shadow, and I’ll think it is a cat. I’ve been doing things like that for about a year now, I guess. I’m wondering if I should talk to my pdoc about them. He might put me on other med’s, but I am happy with the med’s I’m on now. I don’t want to change.

Those aren’t addictive either

4 years with Abilify maintena 400mg

about 4 years on and off Haldol. Then 18 months steady with Invega sustenna/trinza.

Yes, they are addictive, in the sense that your brain adjusts to the antipsychotics, and you can get tolerance, and also withdrawals if you quit. I havent heard people craving for antipsychotics like people do with heroin or so.
