Abilify mostly, I was on Zyprexa and Risperdal for a couple of weeks. Latuda for a year and now back on Risperdal.
Have been on small dose for 40 years or so, mostly Haldol. Because of sleep trouble, currently on 100 Seroquel only.
6 years, since 2014
On and off for like twenty years.
So far, the best I’ve been on is Abilify,
The worst was Seroquel.
Only a year and a half, but I’ve already been on three antipsychotics; abilify, risperdal, and Vraylar. We caught this illness pretty early too, so I had like only a few months without medication.
On and off - 35 years
In fall I’m 2 years on antipsychotics. Time truly flies.
i’ve been prescribed APs for over 7 years, but have only been on them consistently for 4 years. im fortunate in that my side effects are minimal. my biggest complaint is slower metabolism and reduced appetite.
I´ve been on Risperdal for over two years.
On and off for the first 3-4 years, then compliant for about 3-4 years. Then off completely for about 3-4 years. After that I’ve been completely med compliant and take my meds religiously. Started in 1993.
No discernible side effects for quite a few years now. It’s gotten better and better since I stopped ■■■■■■■ around.
10 years, though i was on and off in the beginning
28 years
Almost twice 15
Ummm I’ve been on them since I was 19 or 20 so 5 or 6 years. Generally my side effects either got better or stayed the same over time depending on the med. My current med, rexulti, doesn’t give me side effects at all and never did.
TD really only develops after long term antipsychotic use, it is not really an issue that shows up right away. Fortunately the chance of developing it is much much lower with newer antipsychotics compared to the older generation ones. The older generation you were guaranteed to get TD on pretty much.
Been on various APs for 13 years. No TD. Just weight gain and akathisia.
Risperdal was hell; Zyprexa is my saviour.
Twenty nine years. Some of that time on the older neuroleptic Trilafon. But the majority of that time on the newer Risperdal.
5 years now, various drugs with various levels of success.
I’ve been on APs since I was 17, so that was 7 years ago.
I was put on medication in 1981 when I was 20 years old and now I’m 59. At least I think they are anti-psychotics, that’s what my friend told me, I never bothered to look at the label on the bottle myself.
7 years, clozapine worsens my ocd if i increase my dose.
26 years now. They’re like a hemorrhoid that won’t go away.
