How long does it take you being off meds to become unwell?

Mine took 3-4 days and now im back in hospital

Sorry to hear you’re back at the hospital…
I had a similar experience. It took less than a day for me to feel bad again. Ended up in the ER but it was for the best. Hope you feel better :sunny:

I still get psychotic even on meds, maybe I’m just weird. Off meds I would probably last a couple of hours before I was in the hospital.

It takes about 3 days off meds to feel something’s wrong. My thoughts start fizzing and getting jumbled and I know I’m out of sorts. Coming back on meds and getting to the stability point takes about a month or two though. I’ve learnt the hard way several times in the past when I landed up in hospital because I quit meds.

I’m on Trilafon, one of the older meds. It takes several weeks off Trilafon to flip out.

I’ve only been off Geodon once, and that was only for a couple of days. I held together pretty well during that, but I don’t know how it would have turned out if I had gone on longer.

24 - 48 hours. If I stop taking daily Seroquel, I get stomach pains or nausea. Withdrawal. Also will wind up not being able to concentrate as well.

Ummm with antipsychotics when I was off them for a week I’d get a sudden spike in my symptoms. When I went off Zoloft though it was a month before I had another episode.

I was off all meds in July
I ended up in the Hospital in August
So one month before I went Bonkers completely!

I made it 4 or 5 days. About the same as you. Straight to the ER and psyche ward.

Same, I still get ā€œhallucinationsā€ and firmly follow my ā€œdelusionsā€

I recently made the irresponsible choice of throwing my medicine out. I didn’t mentally get worse, well maybe I became more emotional. But I felt ill, dizzy etc instantly.
