It is 00:36 am and I am still awake. I watched one Norwegian show on the net and then made coffee. I drank all my milk and so no milk for my morning coffee. Well, I can buy more milk early in this morning. How is it here near the Russian border? Well, not very near, but we have surely some Russian influences, although the society is really Americanized a lot. I have been here close to 21 years after returning from America in May 2002. We just continue living. Cheers.

Im from Australia. Also very influenced by american media. Im a long way away from the russian/ukrainian conflict though. Ive always wanted to visit the land of my ancestors in europe. Im part Latvian and park English from what i know of my family history. Ive got records that go back quite a while. And really old photos.

I am here in eastern Finland. All people in my family tree since the beginning of the 18th century are from this region where I live except my grandfather who was born in Viborg that is a part of Russia now. My lastname is actually my greatgrandmother’s name.
