How far do you live from where you were born?

I was born in Brussels which is 25K/15 miles from my current hometown. I have spent almost my entire life in this college town. I did live a couple of years abroad in my late teens - early twenties.

How far do you live from where you were born and how much did you venture out?

Actually I live just 300 meters from the hospital where I was born. I travelled in the world but returned back to my hometown.

Didn’t know you ventured out that much. I don’t remember you mentioning it before.

Maybe we speak a lot of the same languages :grinning:

Their English is so good, I didn’t bother.

I know. We do the same thing here. People try to speak Dutch and we immediately switch to English.

That way they’ll never learn though.

I live an hour from where I was born. I now realize how limiting that sounds. However, sometimes I wish I lived closer to where I was born.

An hour is not so bad

No, I always come back to thinking it’s only an hour away. I have friends and family who live near there who I see one or twice a month.

I live about a mile away from the village I grew up in and 9 miles from the city I was born in. I lived in lots of different places all over the U.K when I was younger - there’s no place like home!
