How does the word "power" apply in the world of sz?

I think we feel powerful very little and misapply power when we do feel it. Maybe power is dangerous for us and it is best to stay low key.

I had power-related delusions during a psychotic episode, but truth be told what schizophrenia does to you is like the exact opposite of power, robbing you of mental faculties and functionality.

Would much rather be in mundane normal-ville rather than schizo la-la land. Getting there gradually.

I agree, it’s a robber of power.

Usually, it’s over me. I never seem to have any.

I wonder how we could attain a sense of power, human power, not wild animal power.

I used to feel powerless, but I feel powerful now. I am powerful.
By powerful I mean that I am a victim of nothing.

i see your pic and want a cup of coffee, dang it i’m going to go fix some

Go for it. What pic?

your profile pic of a cup of some sort of drink

hey. Yeah it’s a good observation.

We aren’t the most powerful of people in the scheme of things but you can compete in regular society.

Every one of us who works, plays or whatever in society is doing well…

For me. I play cricket at a competitive level. I’m shite. My eyes are gone, my reflexes are those of a 47 year old man but I go out every weekend and I compete with normals…I’m not the best but I’m still an opening bat which means i face your best bowlers every weekend…and even though I usually am rubbish…I’m doing better than most normals…

That is a victory. In cricket terms I have some power! Just turning up is some power!

@rogueone I think that’s great! You really seem to have a fire for that game. It must keep you in good shape mentally and physically.

Hope is in future but have such a great potential that gives you power now,

The only word with ‘power’ when applied to people with sz is their emPOWERment

Are you speaking about the Iraqi Doctor who killed her own son here in Ireland? She said, it was her hand, her knife, but it wasn’t her, it was the POWER.

No. I had not heard of that incident.

It’s soy milk. Those pics are called our avatars.
