How do you quote someone in your reply?

How do you quote someone in your reply? I can’t figure it out.

If you’re on mobile you hold the text to highlight then a “quote” button will pop up. Hit it and bam you’ve quoted someone.

Can’t speak for desktop though as I only use mobile.

Desktop is pretty much the same. Just use the cursor to highlight the text you want to quote, and a quote button should appear. Press it, and it is done.

How do you quote someone’s name

moved to meta for anyone that wants to reference later. also, just to keep things tidy.

Do you mean tag them, like this @shellys12 ?

Yes thanks that’s right

np. just type the @ symbol and start typing their name and a list will pop up. Sometimes you might have to type a few letters to get the user that you are looking for to choose.

The other options is to just type @ and manually enter full name.
