What is it that makes a profile picture for you?
I like my profile pics to at least be cute or be somewhat related to my current interests/obsession at the time. Hence my cubone pic I’ve been playing Pokemon and cubes is one of my all time favs.
I find it hard to find decent pics to use for a long time. I often find myself changing my profile pictures often if I feel I’ve had the same one too long, don’t like it anymore, or want to change it just to change it.
I’m obsessed with many franchises and like to express my interest in them so I cycle through profile pics fairly rapidly. That and I get bored lol.
I like mine to be something I like, and easily identifiable. Identifiable as in “that’s a person/dog/cartoon/etc” not necessarily that everyone would recognize the reference. If that makes sense. I don’t like icons that the picture is so tiny you can’t really tell what it’s supposed to be.
I also like for icons to be relatively long lasting. Constantly changing them makes identification difficult. I know I’m not the only one that recognizes people by their icon and doesn’t always read/remember usernames. So when they change often it takes me awhile to connect the dots, if I ever do.
I worry about this in regards to people having trouble identifying me. I’m going to make a serious effort to stick with this icon for a while. I feel better now that I’m back to my original username, at least, haha.

I just picked a selfie with a beard. It’s a beard and it was awesome. I don’t have a beard anymore but have kept a mustache I grew for movember. I may just change my selfie to a modern one with mustache when it gets a bit fuller.
