How do you keep your space clean?

Everytime I see a photo someone puts up the space in the background is like immaculate. I though sz/sza diagnosis meant that people had trouble with organization. I do, but it seems here that so many have no problem keeping orderly.

I have a cleaning machine, my mom.
She is super

My mum. And my father have started cleaning now as well.

Maybe I should try to do something as well. One day I will have to.

I like minimalist living, not much furniture etc. Plus on disability I couldn’t afford much. Less stuff, less cleaning anyways. It’s an art form in Japan I heard

@Om_Sadasiva and @Azythum, that would work… Since I was little I always resisted anyone cleaning my room, consequently its always been messy. I always said I would do it but I guess I just forget.

@Orbeezlight, I’ve thought that would be a cool way to live.

I have only very recently learned how to keep my apartment clean. And that’s by cleaning just one small area every day and no more. And by doing that and rotating it, I can keep my place pretty clean. Took me 40 years to learn that though.

I have a feeling that there’s a lot of misdiagnosed people on here.

I have a cleaning lady who comes Every fortnight for 3 hours to clean the Place.

This is how I assume most of them do it.

I keep my space clean by marrying a person who likes cleaning.

Simple - I know im a lazy git so i employ a lovely lady todo my cleaning for me! Thats what my PIP payment is for after all.

@SkinnyMe That sounds like a strategy

@Wave yeah maybe, although there is a disorganized type of sz

@Ninjastar I’ve thought of trying the strategic cleanup if I ever did a selfie or something but havn’t had to yet.

@TheFountainPen and @Naarai, yep just can’t get my head around that.

Come to think of it though, I did meet a woman at schizophrenics anonymous who was pretty neat.

haha. I hardly mention it here - but i get alot of negatives - and it just seemed best. Adult social care here tho are cunning sods and will charge 3x the price for an ā€œapprovedā€ worker - so i employ a family based private cleaning company.

Its literally only £13 an hour - and i get the ironing and bed sheets changed into the bargain.

That is one of the reasons I can’t get my head around it, getting ripped off.

I try to clean at least something everyday even if I don’t feel like it. I get a little help with trash from my son. I try to pick up after myself as I go along.

Buy good quality cleaning equipment such as a decent vacuum cleaner and steam mop so you are more inclined to use them. Never hoard.

@Wave that’s not a dig at me, is it?

@Leaf I think thats the best way, although, in my situation there has to be a significant effort at the outset before getting it to ā€˜maintenance’.

@anon2818416 yep, kind of where I am at

@Sarah I have a vacuum, not a good mop… seems to me that its hard to buy a good mop nowadays. I don’t have a steam mop though.

pick up after yourself plus do a little extra each day and soon it will be caught up. Don’t think you’re going to do it all at once or it will never get done. It’s just too overwhelming.

It’s actually my situation really.
