How do you define what you deserve from life?

Quote unquote “life” owes nothing to anyone. From dust we come, to dust we return. IMHO anyone who thinks there’s such a thing as fairness or equity is a “happy idiot”, as I believe Lenin said. Sorry.

*Oops wrong quote. It was “useful idiots”.

I think im owed a regular life. Ups and downs. Good days and bad days. A few great days. Hopefully horrible days stay rare. I dont ask for much

I also understand i could drop dead tommorow or whatever but i pray the universe god whatever grants me my wish for a regular life

I can only flip that thought into how can I help …because that’s what is healing to me. Since then I have seen more good parts, most likely because I actually like myself more.

I dont know, i think all people should share everything in common. So i think generally speaking every human derserves food and water, security, safety, shelter, love etc. But i think is qlso healthy to have a humble attitude about what “I” deserve. Or qt the least remember that although i do deserve good things thay if i dont recieve them in this life ill be repaid far more in the next.

I heard at AA, “Thank God I didn’t get what I deserved.”

I felt very cheated when I joined the army and didn’t get what I wanted as my MOS. It was probably a bad decision for me to join the army, anyway. Now I am starting to think that the life I have led was the life I was meant to lead, and things are mostly okay.

I try not to think in terms of what I am owed, great way to develop a negative attitude that drags me down.

I wouldn’t have ever needed anything from anyone, if there weren’t so many criminals in the world. You pay taxes for government protection, but it doesn’t really help because there are so many crooked things going on.

I know I deserve absolutely nothing, and in this way, I gain access to everything.

Life doesn’t owe me anything. If I could make a wish it would be getting my sanity back. That and also fixing my sleep issues.

I deserve to be happy and healthy with all of my needs met.

So who do I complain to about my heart condition?

I dont deserve any of it

I just take whatever I need and have a small bonus of extra stuff that I want…
I don’t need a mansion or a fancy car, I’m just fine with what I have — I’m living alone
And I’m being conservative
I hate wastefulness and I determine the difference between what I want and what I need

You define it by what others allow you to do and how well you are able and willing to do it.

That’s a nihilistic world view, but I adhere to it a small extent too. But I think the way you can become fabulously wealthy is by seeing something that could benefit other people and then mass producing it. But there is a lot of luck involved - in being at the right place at the right time. There is this short story by a writer named Thomas Hardy. It is set in England, where this janitor who works at Reddington Church is discovered not know how to read. So they fired him. Well, this guy had some money saved up, and he had been noticing this tobacco shop. He decided to try selling tobacco too. He quickly made enough money to buy another tobacco store, and then another one and another one. He became very wealthy. One time he was discussing business with another businessman, and it came out that he couldn’t read. The other man exclaimed, “You did all this without knowing how to read? Think where you would be if you could read.” The former janitor replied, “Well, I can answer that. I would be the janitor of Reddington Church.”

I don’t think I deserve or am entitled to anything. Things happen, but I don’t think it’s because I’m some sort of wonderful person, or a terrible person, they just happen, good or bad.

What is FOIA? I hate abbreviations. Sorry.
