Because I think perfectionism is a form of bullying. Maybe I should get angry and say “You look so perfect I think I’ll just put you on a shelf and leave you there.”
I feel perfectionism and insecurity are closely related. In a form I pity them, having this insatiable hunger for the perfect life that they can never truly have.
Even worse so when they judge others for not living up to their standards, I will agree it can go into bully territory.
uhmmm i´m a perfectionist myself what´s wrong with perfectionist people?
They suffer non-reality, tension and defensiveness. But most of all, they expect it of others.
The problem with perfectionism is that nothing is perfect, so they’re chasing the impossible.
And they can be quite intimidating to others, making them feel like they’re never good enough
I agree that as a personality trait can be unpleasant for you and others sometimes but it has it´s possitive side aswell. You usually get more done.
I like my perfectionism. It’s what has kept me so high functioning.
