Yea I need to buy a laptop at some point. It’s true.
I think about throwing my phone into some kind of abyss every single day.
I loathe this cell phone culture.
When I was about 17 I got the infamous Nokia brick.
Back then cell phones weren’t reliable, texting was super difficult, they weren’t considered lifelines.
Now it seems that if you call me or text me and I don’t get back to you within a few seconds,
I’m a jackass.
People expect you to have your cell phone on your person and be fully prepared to deal with their ridiculousness the second they push send.
My cell phone makes a noise of some sort every second of the day,
And a lot of times at night.
My mom likes dog youtube videos.
She sends them to me all day.
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to talk myself down from just throwing my phone into the pavement.
Sure, it’s just dog videos, but she expects me to watch and comment on them.
We’re basically held hostage by our phones.
I miss the days of “Oh, I didn’t see you called”.
That was a thing once, people.
I don’t feel attached to my phone, I wish it would spontaneously combust.
But because of everyone else’s NEED for it,
I’m tethered.
Can’t get away.
Sucks.
I hope you enjoy not having a cell phone for three days.
I’d freaking love it.
I use my phone everyday, but I limit the amount of alerts I get. Else it gets too stressful.
I use my phone for music, mails, social media, bank stuff and phoning ofcourse.
Gawesome I am doing the same. I am reading Traumatized by Kati Morton. It’s all about PTSD.
That’s great yea I think it’s a good idea
