Homeless life

It is more likely that a schiphrenic will be homeless than a normal person. Right?

Not these days. We have some families in town that are homeless and both parents are working, but they can’t make enough to pay current rents when both parents have entry-level jobs.

I was homeless for a while when I was about 17

Mainly slept on other peoples floor/sofas

Sometimes a good place was at the top of a staircase on the back of an industrial unit

I would say so. Almost every schizo is at risk of becoming homeless at some point

I was homeless for a year and a 1/2 waiting on my social security to kick in. There just is enough job security and money to go around. It is our own mental fault that these things happen. And judged as a country. Or even state.

How is it someone’s fault that they have schizophrenia?

So we find ourselves today. Asking the same old question.

I’ve been homeless multiple times

I was homeless off and on for ten years. Sleeping on the streets of Seattle, San Francisco, Portland, and other places up and down the west coast. It’s a bad way to exist and we need to get housing for our brothers and sisters who are currently living on the streets.

I follow this page on Facebook which is called ā€˜invisible people’. They interview people who are homeless. I like to hear their stories.

Homeless for a short stint from 17-18. Stayed with my boyfriend at the time or with my friends.

I’d say yes. They get delusional and don’t care about or can’t take care of their businesses sometimes. If no one is there to look out for them and even so they can easily end up homeless. Normies have to work, but I know a lot of schizophrenics who have experienced a period of homelessness.

I was homeless a week or two
The hardest thing about it is finding a safe place to sleep at night
Especially if you are from a cess pool of criminals like where I live :frowning:

I almost ended on the streets in a foreign country, when my bagage was stolen and I got delusional and nobody knew where I even was. I was lucky that I was picked up by a bunch of church people and helped to get off the streets. And back home.

So. Yeah. I can see how.

It did make me look at society from a radically different angle, those few days.
