I had a phychotic episode in 2000 and got hospitalizedā€¦

The funny thing was i was admitted as a volunteer patient so i could of walked out anytime i wanted i think but i didnt know that at the timeā€¦

Where do you live? In the U.S., once youā€™re admitted to a psych unit youā€™re in until the dr says you can leave, regardless of whether you went in willingly or were put in there against your will. Thatā€™s been my experience, anyway, all locked units.
