You brought back memories of my beloved mother. She had a small pond out back that she could watch wildlife come to take a drink off and on throughout the day. Of course there were lots of birds. About once a week we would come clean it and put all new water. During spring and summer the robins would come through and cover the place with poop. She hated it, and them. She always called them stupid robins. So to this day I have an attitude towards them

Your sweet memory brought back a memory of my grandma— she loved to feed the birds and had a little bird feeder for them on her porch.

I remember her loving the red cardinals that used to come by and feast on seeds, and her saying the blue jays were always trouble .

My surname is Robins.

American robins are darker in colour then the English robins.

That looks like an old tv antenna. Do stations still broadcast over the waves where you are?

Ours stopped years ago. You have to have an hd antenna now. My Rv has one. We have cable though still in the house.

A blue jay got one of my dogs two days ago. She has been leary about going back outside.
