I think she’s at the beach with her family. She was on the weight loss thread a couple of days ago saying she wanted to resist the urge to have ice cream at the beach.

Thank you. I’ve wanted to message you for days, but I’m not right, and I don’t want to unsettle you. I haven’t written on the forum because I’m afraid of what I will say. I’ve been reading though. I want to give support, but I know my own weaknesses will slip in. I’ve never been so scared in my life.

We were blessed with a wonderful time at the beach! Sadly, I had an episode on the second to last day, and we missed the last night and the last day of hanging out. I’m very sorry and very embarrassed. My husband was kind and compassionate, but he’s pretty discouraged about it now. I do want to be different! I went from hanging out and playing with the kids and making meals and cleaning up after everyone to isolating in a bedroom. It all turned in a matter of minutes.

I’m sorry you had an episode interfere with your trip. I know you were looking forward to going there with your family.
What do you need to do to make things better? Do you think a med change will help?

@FlyingPurplePeopleMeeter same thing happened to me, I was on a week long vacation but had to go back home after 3 days. I was with my wife and kid and her parents. The stress of where I was just got to me and was not fun

Thank you @anon39736208! We really had a great first few days! I don’t think a med change will help at this point, though I’ve considered it. I am scheduled to receive iv ketamine in August. I MUST learn how to tolerate emotion and not act out or shut down.

@FlyingPurplePeopleMeeter I had a few episodes on my vacation this summer. Nobody who I went with can’t think of me as the same. They didn’t see struggle though, they said it was my meds. Now none treat me the same and I have a negative outlook towards them so I know exactly how you feel. I retreated to my room once, drunk and my head spinning thinking the guy that rented us the house was listening in on us and going to kill us in our sleep. Vacation can be stressful. Kudos to you for doing house tasks and taking care of kids! I wouldn’t have been able. I haven’t done laundry in over a month
Oh and we left a day early. Paid and all

I understand. I usually make excuses or “creatively” isolate when I’m struggling. This time I straight up went in my room without a word and hid there until the following morning. Like you, we left early. My parents were okay with some explanation. I apologized over text to my sister and brother-in-law, but I haven’t heard back yet.
Who did you go with? Have you seen them since?
