by modern rock do you mean the more indie stuff (i generally like) or the stuff that was REALLY popular in the 2000s (the kind of post grunge alt rock style) (not a big fan)

okay so more on the heavy rock side that flourished after grunge kind of died. im honestly more of a psychedelic rock person myself but i like evanescence!

in older stuff i loooooove jefferson airplane, janis joplin, cream, jimi hendrix, the doors, pink floyd, the later beatles stuff. i guess some of those are more blues rock but psychedelic rock was born out of blues rock so w/e. i love modern neo psychedelic acts like mgmt, tame impala, some of foster the people’s stuff, melody’s echo chamber, stuff like that
