The heatwave in the UK is bad because most people don’t have AC
We have radiators for winter
I was reading an article that said in the UK 90% of weather related deaths is due to cold not heat.
With the cost of power right now, I think if we have a cold winter, those in fuel poverty are going to be deciding whether to eat or be warm if things continue like they are

Our homes are built for cold not heat
Heatwaves are not really that frequent
We have not had significant snow here since 2010 now when we used to get it every few years
Only really offices and richer peoples homes can afford AC

Set to be 36 -38 C today here and tomorrow. Night is worst with Windows wide open but no air, cant sleep much

It’s hot in Belgium too the next 2 days. Will be 38-39C on Tuesday (over 100F). Probably the hottest day of the year.

Its winter in australia. Not looking forward to when summer returns. Even the coldest parts of our winters dont seem to be very cold where i live. I cant handle the heat very well.

Today was 18C. I walk around in a tshirt. I don’t feel cold. Still, i am happy not to be homeless and live in the comfort of my home. At nighttime i wear a sweater.
