I don’t mind sharing. I love to share. Especially food. But he ate it all. I didn’t even get one sandwich out of it and it was a huge jar. I don’t think it’s good for you to eat that much peanut butter. I think of peanut butter more of like a treat kind of thing not a staple. It’s high in fat and very caloric. It’s not heart healthy I don’t think. Anyways, all I wanted was some peanut butter.
I’m sorry this happened to you @Leaf
Thanks @Wave it’s fine lol
I have two unopened jars of peanut butter in my cupboard.
Oh…sorry…I’m probably not helping…
@Moonbeam lol, I’ll be right over
I couldn’t think of anything I wanted to eat, then I realized I wanted peanut butter, and I found the jar all scraped and empty on the counter.
When I’ve had roommates I’ve always had the rule that it’s okay to eat each other’s food items, as long as we let the person know when there’s not much left, and then leave the rest for them
That’s 40 oz of peanut butter in 5 days, that’s too much. He’s going to have another heart attack.
That’s a good idea.
Do you have any roasted peanuts on hand that you could eat instead?
He doesn’t normally do that, he usually eats his own food only, but he just wanted peanut butter I guess.
That’s a lot of peanut butter to consume in 5 days. If you buy more, you should probably hide it.
Actually I do, and my son has peanut butter too, but I hate to use his, he may want that later. Maybe I’ll just snack on my peanuts and that will do me. Thanks.
I’m definitely going to council him on the fat content of peanut butter. I don’t thing he realizes what he ate, he’s pretty careful otherwise.
Also my son is making tofu stir fry in a little while so I can wait and put peanuts on that
Peanuts are healthy for you. Each peanut has 80% good fats. They also contain resveratrol which is helpful for blood pressure. Peanuts open the arteries which lower blood pressure.
Resveratrol is good stuff and peanuts are rich in it.
My brothers always eat my protein bars. They choose the best flavor first too.
That’s a lot of peanut butter!
It was a staple in my home as a kid because we couldn’t afford meat and it was my chief source of protein. That’s why peanut bans in schools infuriate me, they’re denying 99% of the poor kids an essential food stuff for the 1% of kids who have the allergy. It has also been firmly proven at this point that “peanut safe” schools are actually more dangerous to the kids with peanut allergies as they create a false sense of security. Just stupid, but some people won’t believe science over their feels no matter what.
Get a jar for him, and a jar for you that you hide. Best of both worlds
