I had ECT, and I have more than a year of events erased from my memory. Either ECT caused it, or my schizophrenia - which would be strange. But my schizophrenia is strange enough even without it, so I wouldn’t be surprised if my schizophrenia induced it.
My gf read about injecting antipsychotic,we might ask the doctor tomorrow, although honestly I don’t know the difference
Also, to answer your questions, it was a schizophrenia treatment attempt, and it had no effects on my symptoms.
I’ve talked to my pdoc, and I told her I was scared. She said she had another med or two we could try first. I also mentioned partial day. I know that I would get approved for it, but it’s so hard to get out of bed that I am worried I wouldn’t show up.
I’m proud of you for proving to yourself that you’re important to you. That’s a huge accomplishment. My ECT was for depression.
I’ll help… just let me know what you need.
My pdoc is switching me from Zoloft (Sertraline) to Prozac. She also recommended intensive outpatient instead of partial day, so I made an appointment and have an evaluation the day before Christmas. My hubby is off so he can drive me. I am very hopeful!
