it’s a game, where you throw horseshoes at a metal post in the ground. i played a couple times when i was younger, and it was fun for the novelty of it, but i only played a handful of times. you don’t see it much anymore, as it’s been replaced by a funner, and easier game, that game being cornhole. anyways i prefer cornhole more, and actually got pretty good at it. it’s funny the random skills people develop that are no use at all haha.
have you ever played horseshoes? or seen it played? i think the last time i played it, i was like 14 on a trip out west.
Yup, there are horseshoe pits in a lot of parks out here in the countryside where I live. Popular with the older folk. I also have a couple of sets of Jarts (lawn darts), which are now illegal* to sell because stupid people wrecked it for everyone else.
*You can buy them unassembled for a lot more so that’s how I’ve got two sets that we still use.
We had horseshoe pits at our old house. Sometimes something heavy and a cold brew don’t go together. This bar we used to go to had pits and they replaced their windows many times. Guess that’s why they eventually closed down. I like the game though.
