Get out there and meet new people. Of the ten people I’m floating the river with on Saturday, nine are new to me. The tenth is my daughter. We met in a local group to help people with similar interests meet and socialize. I may come away with new friends. If not, I got to spend a morning having fun.

I’ve been betrayed by people I thought I knew and trusted. It just makes me appreciate the people in my life who actually care about me more.
