I think this happens once or twice to about everybody, but when you’re dealing with people on a cash basis, buying fast food or handling cash in a similar way, when you got your change you’re thinking, “That doesn’t sound right. Maybe I should check this out before I walk away.” I’ve found it to be substantially worse with me when I’m off my med’s and living on fast food. Then I think I’m being ripped off everywhere I go. One time I was with a group of sz’s, and I asked them if they had experienced this, and three or four of them said they had. Has anyone on this site gotten that feeling?
don’t feel bad…I just got back from the dispensary and the cashier handed my mmj card out the window to a car in the drive thru…luckily he called the car and they came back…sheeshh…
I think I had this in the past, it feels like OCD.
Do you also verify locks and if the stove is on several times?
Oh yow! That’s a big one for me. Once or twice when I did that I caught a door that was unlocked.
That kind of thing is scary. All the convenience of electronic buying has a downside.
This is why I pretty much don’t let other people handle my money. If I can’t get a ride to the fast food joint or order it online I’ll just cook something at home.
Naw, but they forget my ketchup and my spoon all the time. I always think, hey, if you’re going to act like a punk at least get the basics of your job right.
In my early years of sza I did experience something similar in hindsight. I had no idea my brain was throwing a fit.
