I know benzos can help with antipsychotic induced akathisia but I also heard that propanolol is a beta blocker with dual therapeutic affects for high blood pressure and akathisia.
May ask for this to try

I take it. I haven’t noticed an improvement on sza symptoms, but I have high BP and tremors, and it can help both.
It didn’t do anything for my anxiety.
I could only stay on it a couple weeks because it kept making my blood pressure drop too low.
I only mention that as a heads up to consider if you don’t have high blood pressure either.
I refilled the propane tank for my grill last week.
@shutterbug that’s nice. What about charcoal though you ever tried that? Less chance of explosion and much better taste
Natural gas explosions don’t kill me. I’m part cockroach.
I also have a charcoal grill and I have a wood pellet smoker.

I noticed no effect from taking propranolol. I no longer take it.
I did, but the dose didn’t start or go up high enough to have an effect so I never really took it properly.
I tried it without successfull…
I was once put on teva propranolol (not sure if it’s the same thing) for anxiety. All it did for me is hide my symptoms to other people. I never got rid of the anxiety itself. I’m not currently on it, because I thought it was pointless.

Works for tachycardia, but anxiety wise , a little effect
Clonazepam is what I take when getting anxiety or panic attack coming
I Taken it two years ago but no effects on me. Buspirone and cymbalta was better on me.
This happened to me also, but I have POTS so I assumed that is why. Do you have that also?

Benztropine helped my akithisia. I was prescribed propranolol for anxiety but it didn’t help that.
It really only helped with my tremors. Made exercising suck though.
