Conversation Hallucinations
I did not hallucinate the words, but imagined that there was special meaning behind the words. That they were speaking in hidden codes.
My first time seeing the pdoc I thought he said stuff to me that he never said to me. My mom went in with me and I swore up and down he said that to me.
I would have conservations with people in which I would pick up on hidden meanings behind words, but also would hallucinate words that people actually werenāt saying. I thought that was a little strange for normal symptoms and wanted to see if anyone could relate.
I guess itās possible that I hallucinated parts of conversation with people, but I was never made aware that it was a hallucination if it occurred. I hallucinated music and the āvoice of godā, but thatās the only hallucinations that Iām aware of.
Sometimes I hear things on the radio I have to question. One time I was working delivering pizza, and I was in a foul mood. A guy on the radio started talking about a pizza delivery driver who was being too surly at his job. I heard it plain and clear, and I donāt know if it was an hallucination or real. One time I went on a group outing even though I had a bad cold. I heard someone on the radio say, āStay away from people who are sick. If youāre sick stay home.ā It was a Red Cross message, so I tend to think it was real. Iāve heard a lot of things like that. It drives me crazy trying to decide if theyāre real or not.
yeah iāve had that
especially the repetition of āI heard that, you knowā or āyou know i heard thatā
i thoguht about breathing or something like that
and normal conversation additions yes, under the breath - and the hidden meanings
Yes I do this all the time! My friends have gotten used to it. The worst instance was when my friend told me she got engaged, and I thought she said they broke up instead. Talk about an awkward moment!
Happens all the time
#howmuchisreal?
This happens all the timeā¦
Iāll be talking to someone and all of a sudden it seems like they are something completely off topic or out thereā¦
Or Iām 100% convinced they are being sarcastic and donāt like me. When they say I have a good idea⦠Iām sure they are shining me on.
I had that yeah⦠Time seemed to stop and a girl at the hospital told me she would make my life there a living hell. We eventually became friends there.
