With the recent discovery of hundreds of dead indigenous children from the residential school system kept secret and buried in unmarked graves (and probably thousands more to come) the flag is being flown at half mast on the peace tower today, and the left is basically calling for the cancellation of the holiday. This year isn’t being celebrated the same as in the past. This residential school system scandal is shameful.
But even with all it’s faults Canada is one of the best countries in the world. Happy Canada Day!!!

It commemorates the service people who came here during world war 2 and stayed here before going to the beaches of Normandy on D-Day
