Hallucinations of bugs?

Funny thing is, I actually love bugs. I’m getting a tarantula soon and some dubia roaches to feed my reptiles.

But I hallucinate bugs all of the time.
It started a few years ago when I was in a camp and my sister told me about beetles she found in the sink. I went home and took a shower to get rid of the thought, but I kept feeling bugs everywhere on me. I was having a mental breakdown, close to tears because I can’t get rid of the feeling.

More recently, I’ve been seeing everyday objects as bugs or bug parts, and when I point it out people look at me weird. I see maggots and mealworms. In my ears I get this slow sensation of centipedes crawling inside. I can’t itch it or make it go away. I have to sit it out and let them crawl in.

Sometimes I see bugs crawling on the walls or in my food (I also see guts or organs in my food). I’m learning to deal with this and it doesn’t bother me so much anymore. Anyone else like this?

I see bugs all the time. On the walls, in my food, on me. I do not like bugs very much though especially beetles and cockroaches in fact I’m very phobic of cockroaches and unfortunately they are what I hallucinate the most. Most bugs I’m neutral about though.

But I totally understand the feeling of bugs hallucinations. The crawling is the worst. It just goes everywhere and won’t stop. I get so itchy just thinking about it.

When it comes to food when I see bugs in it I normally can’t eat especially if they’re moving. But sometimes if i haven’t really eaten in days I’ll force myself to eat it. Which may or may not result in me “uneating” it if you know what I mean.

Oh and bonus most annoying thing mosquito buzzing in my ear. It’s So Annoying :sob:

In conclusion I hate bug hallucinations.

I’m glad someone has something similar to me. I will not eat lots of things because I think they’re bugs or mold or something diseased but I am working on it. I wish you the best for food, I understand how difficult it is. I can’t describe it, but it’s torture to say the least. I’m so sorry, I wish you courage and resiliance

Yes. Bugs all the time… it doesn’t bother me anymore except when I get caught off guard and swipe a bug off of myself that wasn’t there to begin with right in front of people. I either say that I thought I saw something or I don’t say anything.
I see things crawling that are either not there or are inanimate objects. Every small thing on the floor is a bug, and I see crawling things on the walls that I think are spiders or beetles. I don’t always have to check, but sometimes I still do. And I’ll see swarms where there aren’t any…but only briefly.
Lots of bugs. I hate bugs. I keep our house sprayed with bug spray all around outside and personally kill whatever I find inside, when they’re real.

I see bugs a lot. Like flies or small spiders. They look realistic enough that I’m never quite sure what’s real and what’s not. Once I had a spider crawling on my leg and I was just kinda watching it amused. I thought it was just me. Then someone was like ‘you know there’s a spider on you right?’ I was like ‘omg you see that? It’s real?’ Eww. So now I don’t assume if they’re real or not, if someone’s around I’ll point it out to someone and see if they can see it or not.

I don’t really mind seeing bugs that aren’t there, however I have a terrible time with the feeling of bugs crawling all over me. It’s been happening for quite sometime, however they bite more often now. Also I can’t see any bugs crawling. Just feel them. It’s the worst.

Oh man me too. I told a doctor I kept getting random pains in my nerves like I’ve been stabbed, bitten, or cut, with nothing there but a slight touch of something else, or I simply think it’s a bug. Now this could be something completely different, idk, just trying to tie in what you said. I see things moving all of the time, but all it does is confuse me and others if I point it out. A lot of the time I think bugs or beetles are in the carpet. Like two days ago when my ferrets tipped the mealworms into the floor, I kept thinking I was seeing them and I spent a long time trying to find things that weren’t there.

I like spme bugs too… but ive spent nights in agony feeling invisible bugs on me…i think my skin gets hyper sensitive and the slightest movement of air makes my leg hair move a little… then it gets exaggerated in the brain…

Also spiders and bees like crawling on me… i dont mind the bees but its hard not to freak out when a spider does it… i actually just knocked a spider off my leg… im trying not to kill things…but man spiders are hard…
