Gross habit i'm about to discuss

I haven’t talked to my therapist about this yet but I have some of my old ones. I pick my scabs. I don’t know what it is I just feel compelled to do it. Other times I do it when i’m anxious or upset. One of my therapist said it sounds a bit like ocd. She tried to teach me an awareness techniques and stuff but it when over my head and I didn’t understand what she meant.

I have this really bad habit of messing with my hair/scalp. Kind of scratching and rubbing my head/hair (its really short right now, almost Buzzed ha-ha). I do it when I’m not doing anything else with my hands and I catch myself and notice and make myself stop, but then I’m subconsciously back at it again before I realize. I’m afraid I’m going to way overdo it and make myself go bald or something, which probably won’t happen but still! I don’t know what causes it or what helps to stop, but I thought I would share cuz you’re not alone. Probably some sort of nervous habit,
