Gotta hand it to Taylor Swift...she is a heroine

To me, anyways…I look up to her for being so kind and sweet and good looking and philanthropist too…did you know she on her last gig of her american eras tour wrote each truck driver for her road show a check for 100,000 dollars…paid all her help on the rest of the tour people chipping in too…said something like 175 million after all the bonuses were handed out…yayyy for Taylor…I am so happy she has Travis too…they seem like the perfect match and she is soooo talented…love her music …wife turned me onto her music a long time ago.

Only know a a few of her songs really. Don’t listen to any regularly. Seems like a good ‘kid’ though.

Anti hero is a good track but in general I much prefer Dua Lipa to Taylor Swift.

I’m not really into her music but I have nothing against her either way.
She seems rather neutral to me

I don’t know man I start getting a little wary any time someone’s fan levels reach a dangerous level and she’s up there

Like I’d hate to be on the wrong end of a public feud with her if I were famous

I’m not saying she’s mean, she seems like a real peach, but her fan base seems like it could be another story.

She sure seems to be bleeding them of cash.

Taylor Swift concert ticket prices: How Eras Tour compares to buying Super Bowl 58 tickets | Sporting News.

vs Bruce Springsteen

My high estimation of her went down when I learned the average cost she charges for a ticket to her concerts is over $1500; virtually excluding low-income fans.

Same with Paul McCartney. FCS…If I were a billionaire like Taylor or Paul, I’d be doing a lot of free/ reasonably priced shows for my hardcore low-income fans.

Bruce Springsteen is a legend but has always made tickets to his concerts affordable for the average concert goer, his cheapest tickets are in the $55 range now at select venues in North America.

If I remember correctly, my U2 ticket in 1987 was $22.00 to see them play in Montreal.

Well, you can still get a ticket to a McCartney concert for as low as $90 though the average price is about $700.

When I saw Led Zeppelin and Judas Priest in 1977 when I was 16 tickets were $10 and that was considered a high price at the time.

To be fair to Taylor Swift, you can get tickets to her concerts in places like Poland and Germany for as cheap as $360. The $1500 cheapest ticket prices are for the North American part of her tour.

She loves what she does for sure and works hard.

Good for her. Deserves her awards and billions

Yes, some her fan base seems like they have their priorities all out of whack.

All these people going on the internet or tv and literally crying because they couldn’t get tickets to a show. Like their grandma just died or someone shot thier dog or something.

Criminey. It got so bad congress got involved, I think. I mean, cmon. Its a freaking concert. Its not the end of the world if you dont get sit 35 rows back and see some some tiny figure in the distance sing a few songs at a concert.

I mean, maybe there were legit monopoly and abuse concerns, but I dont think its a coincidence that congresss got super involved just after all the Taylor Swift fans went ballistic.

I don’t know what that says about our governing instituations that concerts are such a heavily focused on concern.

But maybe this is getting into politics. I apologize.

Think it’s more economics.

Taylors concerts just exposed the monopolistic practices and how consumers got screwed. Government has to intervene or the law.

They don’t make that much money with the physical and streaming revenues any longer.

The real money is in touring, hence the price hike!

YOu dont think it has anything to do with Taylor swift fans(and probably some parents of) influencing government officials? I mean the timing seems awful strange for it not to be.

This alleged monopoly and abuse has probably been going on for years. I remember buying from ticketmaster when I was like 19 years old.
