I’m always getting told I look young. The guy at the liquor store told me that today. I wonder how young I look.

I used to get carded when I was buying cannabis.
I would always ask how old I look. The best I got was 32 yo when I was 38 yo.
But I had a friend in HS and college who’s dad was like 50 years older than him. The cashier carded him for alcohol when he was 70 yo. His reply was, “What, am I too old to drink?”

It can mean all sorts of different things in my experience. Sometimes it can be because you appear shy/timid. Sometimes it can be people flexing their authority. Sometimes it can be because you do look young.
As an aside - I knew someone who easily looked like a teenager (a very short girl) but was actually 35. I was so shocked when I found out. She said she has issues with people doubting her even when she had ID etc.

It’s because I do look young. I’m 30 y/o. I look about 20.

I also look young but not young enough to get asked for an ID.
Once though I wanted to buy alcohol in a supermarket and couldn’t. Turns out they had a policy forbidding any alcohol purchase before 10am. Crazy.

last time i got carded i had my hat on. then i took my hat off and joked with the lady that my receding hairline would give away my age haha. she just laughed and said “youre doing good for your age”.
i think my ideal age to look is about 30, but looking younger is good too, usually means good genes or maybe a long life.
i look older when i grow my beard out. almost middle aged, but when i shave i still look fairly young.

maybe it wont happen. no use worrying about it. my goal was to make it to 30 years with my hair, now it looks like i wont go completely bald uptop until im in my 40’s. o well. i don’t take meds for it, it doesn’t bother me anymore like when i was younger.
My dad got his bald spot in his twenties. He got a tattoo of a lawn mower. I’ll probably keep the tradition if I get a bald spot.

I used to work in a convenience store, and it was really a pain having to ID people for beer, wine, and cigarettes. I was really bad at it, as I would card people in their 30’s and one time a woman who was 42. They sometimes would get angry about it.
I get told very often i look young for my age, im 46!
