Got My Hair Cut and Colored

I’d love to post a before and after pic, but i’m too paranoid, so please accept these google image search results as substitutes!

I went to the stylist for the first time, normally I either go to a cheap supercuts shop or i just grab the scissors (fyi, the cuts never turned out great when I was doing the hair cutting). I bleached my brown hair like twice and the roots had grown out brown. I didn’t really mean to go get a full hair make-over, but by accident I called the expensive salon that I thought was a cheaper salon down the street. By the time I had asked how much the cut would be, I had already scheduled my appointment.

Fifty dollar hair cut omg living my extra life by accident! I was too proud to back down, so I was like well this will be my treat for the month and I went in.

Stylist saw my orange, wanna be blonde hair and was all oh honey let me color it. She lowered the price so I would agree to it, but man it was like 100 bucks total for cut and color! I googled it and found that its pretty common for a dye job to cost over 100 dollars by itself, so I feel grateful for the discount she gave me.

I got bangs and she dyed the roots to look a little lighter than brown and she dyed the blonde damaged hair a light chestnut color. It came out looking like a subtle bayalage hairstyle!
My hair is shoulder-length and I straighten it, but this google search image looks like my new hair color!

This is kind of the haircut I have now, but a bit longer and with that bayalage color:

I love the new look and whatever she put in my hair left it a little healthier looking! My bank account hates me, but it really makes me look more professional at work! HAPPY!

Thank you so much for the kind words! I’m happy! No more yellowish hay-like hair with major split ends! I’m taking care of it now by using Pura D’or argan oil. I rub some in on damp hair and it is supposed to protect hair and make it more sleek!

It is SO cute! I love it!

I need a new haircut myself, but a little stubborn and set in my ways. I like my brown hair and I color it myself at home in cinnamon brown color.

Why don’t you color your own hair? And buy a good quality hair mask and a hair oil and treat your hair after every shower.

I use Klorane date hair mask (twice a week) in the shower and I use Orchid oil or Marrakech argan oil on the mid-shaft down.

If you straighten your hair a lot, you can use a heat protecting cream. All this heat on the hair will do damage.

Anyway, wish I could see pictures! My hair is very long now but no particular style. It is like when I was a teenager at 30 years old. I think it does not work for my age but I like it I guess.

:+1: That’s good you treated yourself.

Maybe post a pic with a filter on, like a smiley face over your face?

I’m way overdue for a haircut myself. I kinda wanna do the early 80’s John Lennon doo. But I am unsure if I can pull that off :joy:

Take care :v:

Ok I’m doing laundry at the laundry mat rn, but when I get home I’ll play with filters so I can post it up!! Thanks everyone for the compliments and replies!

@mermaid1 I tried at home but I fried it pretty bad from bleach kits. I also hadn’t planned on coloring it lol! She was a good upseller lol! I’m using argan oil now and I will def look for treatments on Sephora tomorrow which is payday!
