My grandmother said that if you get a tattoo get one of an om. She said there is a saying that will be on you for the rest of your life and when you die that is the only thing that will go with you. And she was over the moon I got it done 
She is 92 and has several of them herself.

I want to get a matching tattoo with my mum, we both want one so I want a matching one. When I’m more stable I want a Phoenix. I like the meaning behind yours, that is special!

When I was in the army one of my biggest fears was that I would wake up after a hard drunk with a butterfly tattooed on my forehead. I don’t know about tattoos. They’re too permanent. I’ve known guys that got their girlfriends’ names tattooed on them, and then they broke up with the girl.

I completely understand and tattoos are not for everyone. When my gradmother got hers done she wAs 10 and it was part of tradition. Some of them like the one under her neck she regrets but to me they are part of her and I love that she has them. I think of her as a trendy granny lol I wouldn’t get one of a partner. I am just dumn sure me and gran are not splitting up and the tattoo will mean something to me for life.
